Alabama fruit and vegetable growers and industry leaders should mark their calendars for the Alabama Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association (AFVGA) annual conference and tradeshow, which is set for Feb. 14-16, 2024.
Once again, the event is scheduled to take place at The Lodge at Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Blake Thaxton, executive director of the AFVGA, highlighted the excitement surrounding next year’s show.
“We’re very excited and feel like we’re building off momentum of last year’s conference with the change in date to February from it previously being held in November. We’ve got some exciting things that we’re adding. We’re having a couple of pre-conference workshops that we haven’t had in the past and then continuing some of the very successful parts of last year, including the AFVGA networking luau that we did,” Thaxton said. “We were very pleased and got very positive feedback with that last year and are going to continue with that this year. We expect to have another very robust tradeshow. Last year’s feedback was that we had really active attendees who were having great conversations with our vendors. We are looking forward to getting back down to Gulf Shores and having another great conference and tradeshow.”
The event will include seminar sessions featuring research professionals and Extension specialists from across the Southeast.
